Breakfast

I'm in a motivational rut and I've been there for quite some time now. I'm trying to figure out where the uber motivated 20 year old has gone in these past 3 years..... If you see her send her my way please! Maybe it's the fact that I have a much busier schedule with hardly any free time, or I just don't want it as much. I just know that waking up at 4am to go to a spin class is not an option anymore... I need to find the balance between working out like a maniac and not working out at all. But unfortunately I've never lived in the middle, I'm an extreme-ist. I go big or I don't go at all, and that's how I do everything. But for now the working out and getting back on track with my diet is all I can handle.

So I figure if I am going to write a blog about this, and people might be reading it, that might give me some of my long lost motivation back. I mean, it's not like I've completely let myself go and I weigh 350 pounds or anything, but I'm not happy with where I am at so I need to change some things. Ideally if I could lose 15 pounds I'd be completely stoked. Summer is coming, CA trip is coming, and I REALLY want to buy a pair or two of Buckle jeans, which I told myself I can only buy when I'm a smaller size since they are not cheap!

So here it goes.... we'll see how long I last this time haha :0)

Here is what I ate for breakfast this morning: A 4 egg white omlette with reduced fat feta cheese on a 100 calorie English muffin, and a cup of fresh grapes with splenda = 288 calories. A great way to track nurtition, fitness and everything else check out www.sparkpeople.com and it's FREE!

Light Photography Assignment

This weeks assignment was on lighting, aperture, ISO and figuring out how to manipulate these settings while shooting in the manual mode. We've had a lot of snow recently and sometimes snow makes it hard to get good photos that aren't over exposed. I took a lot of photos that were absolutely ridiculous :0) but then started to get the hang off it more. My favorite thing after the snow is when the sun finally comes out and the sky is blue, it makes taking pictures so fun!
PS- I'm a dork and I totally forgot to record the settings I had my camera on for these shots.... oops :0)

I tried to use the snowy background to pop the green of the leaf. But I was also pleased with how the light hits the ice on the leaf.

I was also really happy with how this shot turned out too. I love how the sunlight reflects off of the icicles.
